Indeed
the look on the Judge’s face
was somber
mean
even
accusatory
But
I
was not about
to
lie
“I am guilty as charged
your
Honor!”
“Do you
understand this
means
unequivocally
that
you
are
swooning
at
improper times
for
no
good reason
on any given day
no
matter
or virtually
no
matter
the
circumstances?”
“Guilty as charged!”
“In that
event
the
Court
shall have no
option but to
sentence
you
to
a
lifetime of
labor
at
something you love
something you
covet
and
something
that may actually enhance the world…
that is
the Court’s
sentence.
It is so Ordered!”
With that
I trudged
back into
the
park
stood on a box
and
sang
Eventually I became a statue
