I think, maybe you agree, that the reason the brightest star in our sky is Sirius, the dog star, is to remind us that the unconditional love of a dog is the brightest star in the sky, or among the very brightest.
In Greek the word sirius means glowing.
We have many gifts here on earth. God forbid we have ever taken them for granted.
If you have loved a dog, or love one now, or will in the future, please if you would look up some time, when you get a chance, and see Sirius there in the dark sky, and be reminded, particularly if it a difficult time, be reminded of that unconditional love. The dog might just be trying to tell you something.
