I threw my heart

and she brought it back

eager
to repeat it

Each time

day or night
rain or shine
folks
she retrieved my heart

Until
that
day
she went to another field
another
place
where she must be
fetching the hearts of others
until
I get there

then
I am going to claim her

In the meantime
